Steve McCurry is an American photojournalist, known worldwide as the
author of the photography Afghan girl, appeared in National Geographic
in 1985. His career as a photographer began with the war in Afghanistan
(1978-1992). He has also covered other international conflicts like the
war between Iraq and Iran or the Gulf War.
