MY DESCRIPTION

Her name is Maria Mora, she's doing 1 batx. She lives in Castelló and her hobbies are watching series ans playing the flute, she also likes volleyball. We met in rurseky but we started to be friends in 3rd ESO. We become really close friends in that period and now she's my best friend. In 4rd ESO she went to Ireland with her family and it was really difficult for us, but I think we become even more friends. Now we are both in first batx and I'm so happy that she's with me.

As for her physical appearance she is rather short and thin. She has brown long hair but now she cut it and she has it the length for her shoulders. She has brown eyes and wears glasses. At first sight she is rather tiny and shy but when you know her she is expressive. She doesn't have a very fashionable style, like she dresses simply.
Her personality is very complicated, she's not a simple person. When you know her it seems like she tries to hide her feelings and is a person that keeps her problems to her. She is uneasy when it comes to show her feelings. To know her how she really is you must have a lot of selfcomfidence. When she propose something she works very hard to get it. She is a person that you know she will always be there for you when you need it. When you get to know her you realize how crazy she is and that her ideas are even more crazy.

To me Maria is one of the most important person in my life. She is a person that I never want to lose because with every experience we had she show me how worthy it she is. Even when we had bad times, I don't know what I would do with out her.

GLOBAL ISSUE

Iraqi forces are reported to have taken control of the last major road out of western Mosul, preventing Islamic State militants from fleeing the city.
The route leads to Tal Afar, another IS stronghold that is 40km further west.
Government forces already control the east of Mosul and they began an assault aimed at capturing the west last month.

The source in the Popular Mobilisation, said its fighters and soldiers from the Iraqi army's 9th Armoured Division had taken control of the highway to Tal Afar near Badush on Tuesday night.
Residents had confirmed they could no longer use the highway.

In November, Popular Mobilisation fighters advancing from the south cut the road west of Tal Afar, encircling  Mosul.
They then started working to block the route between Tal Afar and Mosul to prevent IS from using it to send reinforcements and supplies to the city.

On Monday, the Rapid Response Force reached the western, giving the government control of a crossing for the first time since the Mosul offensive began in October.

All of Mosul's five bridges have been badly damaged in fighting since October. But once repaired, they could help the military bring in reinforcements and supplies from the government-held east.

Meanwhile, the British deputy commander of the US-led coalition military operation against IS has predicted a "grinding" fight to retake the rest of Mosul.

Speaking to journalists on a visit to London, Gen Jones said it would be "tough and take time" but that he was confident the Iraqi forces would complete the job.

He described the use of drones by IS to drop bombs on troops in Mosul as an "insidious threat" but not "a game-changer", adding that the coalition was working to defeat the threat, he added.

MY WORLD

The last two weekends had been carnival. My friends and I decided to disguise of firemen. The first weekend we went to the carnival roses it was 24 and 25. Some of us went on Friday like me Maria and Zaira and some of us went the Saturday like Esther and Judith and some of us went the two days like Paula Fatine and Pau.

Well me and Fati went to Paula's house and put the disguise there. The others were in their houses. We meet in Rosas like at 11pm. We spend some time in the past and then when the carriages arrived at the port we went there, where we stayed most of the night dancing. Then we went to the multipurpose room, we almost get lost but finally we found it. When we arrived there there was a lot of people and me and Paula one time went to the bathrooms and it started a fight on our side. At 4am Paula Maria and Zaira had to leave but the others stayed there until 6am but like the party ended at 5am we had to go to a Bar and stay there for a while. The Saturday i didn't went but was almost like the other night, but there wasn't carriages just disco at the multipurpose room.

The next weekend was the Carnival of Castelló and the Friday the past of carriages was in Ampuriabrava like all the years. I went to Maria's house and after put us the disguise my parents come for us and all went to Ampuriabrava. We wait to the others to arrive and we started the past. It started to rain and we were pissed off. After stopped raining for a while, in that time the carriages to their destiny and then we stayed some time dancing there. When started to rain more we enter to the room that was prepared by disco, also this year the "discomovil" the Friday were in Ampuriabrava not in Castelló like the other years. So we went there and stayed the rest of the night until the 4am because Paula had to leave because the next day had a volleyball match in Andorra. The party ended at 4am and the others had to wait until the 6am that was when the came for us. We decided to go to Salon until the time because it was very cold. They come for us and me and Maria went to her house.

The Saturday we began late because of the rain. But it doesn't rained throughout the rest of the night. We went with all carriages to Joana d'Empuries and we stayed there until 2am dancing. After the carriages left we went to the multipurpose room. We stay there until like 5.30am. The next day me and Paula had a Lunch group and we had to go in a Restaurant.

It was the best Carnival that i remember. I can't describe that well I've had with my friends this year with them. It had been magic. I hope that next year be even better

WOMAN'S MARCH

Resultat d'imatges de women's marchMore than 1 million people rallied at women's marches in the nation's capital and other cities around the world 21 of january on President Donald Trump's first full day in office. "Welcome to your first day. We will not go away," marchers in Washington chanted.

The Washington rally alone attracted over 500,000 people.
"We march today for the moral core of this nation, against which our new president is waging a war," actress America Ferrera told the Washington crowd. "Our dignity, our character, our rights have all been under attack, and a platform of hate and division assumed power yesterday. But the president is not America ... We are America, and we are here to stay."

Turnout in the capital was so heavy that the designated march route along the National Mall was impassable. Long after the program ended, groups of demonstrators were still marching and chanting in different parts of the city.

The rally featured speeches from women's rights activist Gloria Steinem, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards, Madonna, actresses Ashley Judd and Scarlett Johansson and director Michael Moore, among others. A group of largely female senators and other politicians took the stage together at one point
Various causes were attached to the march, which was largely billed as a demonstration in support of women's rights and civil rights but for many had clear political undertones connected to the inauguration of Donald Trump.

Steinem thanked the crowd for showing up, declaring, "We have people power, and we will use it. Steinem suggested that the size and energy of the gathering was a positive outgrowth of Trump's election and inauguration

"This is the upside of the downside. This is an outpouring of energy and true democracy like I have never seen in my very long life. It is wide in age. It is deep in diversity," Steinem said.

She praised "our great leaders" Barack and Michelle Obama, Sen. Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton, "who told the whole world that women's rights are human rights and human rights are women's rights," quoting Clinton's speech at a United Nations conference in 1995.

In Chicago, organizers canceled the march portion of their event for safety reasons because of an overflow crowd of an estimated 250,000. People made their way through the streets on their own anyway. In New York, well over 100,000 marched past Trump's home at glittering Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue. More than 100,000 gathered on Boston Common, and a similar number demonstrated in Los Angeles.

More than 600 sister marches were planned worldwide. Crowd estimates from police and organizers around the globe added up to well over a million.

MY CHRISTMAS

This year my father's family celebrate Christmas eve in house of Maribel (The sister of my father) with all the family. The day after was Santa Claus day and like it's tradition in my family we celebrate it in my house with all my mother's family and is my favorite day of Christmas because we are all the family. And for my my family is everything and it's especial because I have little cousins and it's wonderful watch them open the presents like my and my cousins did when we were younger. I love both of my family but I always had a special relationship with my mother's family because we are always together. We all live in Castelló but we are a very big family so a lot of times we can't see all and in Christmas we are finally all together.

In new year me and my friends go to Pau's house to dinner and after we went to party, Pau was the DJ so we went with him. It was an amazing start of year surrounded by my best friends. We arranged, we had dinner and we went to party. We go home at 8 in the morning and the day after my father piked us up and brought all to Castelló I had a dinner with my family so I went to my grandmother's house with all familly. It was a great beginning of year.
On the day of kings we all went to eat in my grandmother's house and the dining room was literaly full of presents everywhere. We are a big family but I was impressed when I saw so many gifts. We wait to all family to come and then we open the presents all together. After that we all lunch and eat "El tortell de reis" and i literally I couldn't breath with all the jokes we made that day. It was especial for me.
